Positive Ageing Toolkit

The toolkit will offer invaluable insights, practical tips, and resources to empower individuals aged 65 and above in enhancing their psychological resilience, social engagement, and overall well-being. Tailored specifically for older adults, it will provide a diverse array of strategies and tools adaptable to various needs, cultural backgrounds, and social contexts. Caregivers and trainers working with the elderly will also find the toolkit

invaluable, as it equips them with skills to enhance their own well-being, foster resilience, and forge positive connections with older individuals.

Positive Ageing Toolkit objectives include:

  • Enabling older adults to bolster their well-being and resilience in navigating life’s challenges, such as loneliness and transitions associated with ageing.
  • Crafting a comprehensive toolkit brimming with strategies and resources aimed at enhancing psychological resilience, social integration, and overall well-being among older individuals.
  • Empowering caregivers and adult educators with the necessary skills to improve their own well-being, resilience, and ability to establish positive rapport with elderly individuals.

Training programme for Caregivers and Adult Educators

The Training Programme for Caregivers and Adult Educators will present a great opportunity to empower professionals with the knowledge and skills essential for enhancing the wellbeing and active ageing of the elderly. Grounded in the principles of positive psychology, this comprehensive programme will offer a dynamic learning experience tailored to address the multifaceted challenges encountered by caregivers. Through meticulously crafted modules and interactive sessions, participants will delve into practical strategies aimed at fostering effective communication, cultivating empathy, and instilling positive transformations in the lives of older adults.

The programme’s objectives include:

  • Engaging learning modules and succinct micro-lessons, including multimedia formats such as concise videos and illustrative infographics, to ensure accessibility and depth of understanding.
