Who we are?

Center for Lifelong Learning is a leading promoter of adult education and lifelong learning in the country. It is working as training, consultant and resource center and carrier of network of adult education providers in the country.

The Lifelong Learning Center accomplishes its vision through implementation of projects, networking, training of trainers, consulting, research, publications, promotions, transfer of knowledge and lobbying.

What we do?

Lifelong learning center supports development and implementation of policies in the education sector. The policy related activities are implemented in cooperation with organizations and institutions engaged in adult education. Lifelong learning centre thrives to secure compliance with European standards and aquis, by having an active role in creation and development of legislative initiatives, strategies, and policies.

Through various activities including conferences, workshops, seminars and publicity events, LLC contributes to development of positive environment for lifelong learning in Macedonia. One of the major activities for promotion and development of Lifelong Learning concepts is the campaign “Days of lifelong learning”, which is an annual open event, which involves the general public and stakeholders involved in education. The campaign is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Science.

Professionalization of adult education in Macedonia and Southeast Europe as focus area includes activities related to strengthening capacities of adult educators. The aim of this activities is to contribute to quality assurance for further education of adults. One of the major activities that were undertaken so far is coordination of Andragogical regional Academy in Southeast Europe. In addition Lifelong learning center contributes to the process with organisation of different forms of trainings for adults.

Research activities are covering analyses of the adult education concepts and frameworks that serve as basis for initiatives in policy making, promotion of Adult Education and development of new curricula.

Lifelong Learning Center implements its activities in cooperation with its established network of national and international partners.
