Thirteen new members join EAEA
EAEA welcomed thirteen new members at the General Assembly 6th of May in Zagreb, Croatia. The new members come from Italy, Armenia, Belgium, Romania, Kosovo, Cyprus, Wales UK, Hungary, Croatia, and Bulgaria.

At the General Assembly on 6 June in Zagreb, EAEA members elected a new Executive Board and President.

The European Year of Skills will start officially on 9 May 2023 and will run until 8 May 2024. The thematic year aims to promote the visibility and uptake of further education and training in adult life and provides a unique opportunity for stakeholders to engage in discussions, learn from each other, and promote work in the field of skills development across Europe.
Quality first: for accessible and inclusive learning mobility schemes for adult learners
EAEA’s new statement says that more needs to be done at the EU and national levels to give adult learners access to learning mobility. Learning mobility is essential for the development of new skills, the promotion of health and well-being, the strengthening of European solidarity, cohesion, and democracy, and the motivation to learn.
For a European paid training leave
The European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA) calls for more inclusive and effective paid training leave schemes that can be exercised transnationally across the EU to increase participation in adult learning.
