Validation of non-formal and informal learning makes our labour markets more resilient and contributes to the integration of migrants and refugees by valuing the prior knowledge and experiences of people.

Adult learners and educators are themselves the strongest advocates for adult education, when giving them a possibility to share their views and experiences.

Financial literacy is especially low among certain demographic groups and this can hinder their inclusion in society. EDU-FIN aims to establish a learning curriculum on financial education based on the contribution of young adults at risk which will allow meeting their real needs on the topic.

The 2016 Grundtvig Award winner in the category of International Projects shares the impressions and lessons learned in the years of working with refugees.

EAEA GRUNDTVIG AWARD 2016. A creative approach to human reconciliation can build an open dialogue between resettlers and local communities – this is the belief of the Integration and Development Center for Information and Research in Ukraine, who won the 2016 Grundtvig Award in the category of National and Regional Projects. Yuliya Golodnikova from IDCIR and Oleg Smirnov from DVV International Ukraine explained at the EAEA General Assembly in June what makes their project stand out.

The Smart Generation consortium met in Romania last week to discuss the project developments and the steps ahead. The partners have now started to develop a pedagogical model about a conscious use of smartphones, which constitutes the main aim of the project.

With the Live and Learn project coming to an end next month, the consortium is ready to present the results: videos about European learners and educators.
