Who we are?

Armenian Lifelong Learning League is an umbrella for 12 non-governmental organisations experienced in education and training in Armenia. The overarching goal of the League is to support the formation of lifelong learning culture in the country by means of developing a coherent LLL system focused on employability/adaptability, personal fulfillment, active citizenship and social inclusion. The League recognises the growing importance of access to learning at all ages and through all modes (formal, non-formal and informal). Its mission is to support the formation and sustainable development of efficient LLL system for the sake of continuous personal, civic and professional growth in Armenia. The League seeks excellence and perfection and is guided by such fundamental values as democracy, transparency, responsibility, resilience and congruence with its adopted mission.

What we do?

  • Continuous improvement of LLL strategy, policy and legislation through advocacy and promotion of increased access to education for all.
  • ALLL works to professionalise the media by building skills and organising capacity building trainings on LLL & AE. Media partners are equipped with necessary knowledge on LLL to increase the public awareness on LLL & AE and promote the creation of lifelong learning culture in Armenia.
  • To raise general awareness about the role, importance and opportunities of LLL in Armenia, every year the League organises LLL DAYS in the capital and regions of the country. Training courses for journalists also provide support to the annual LLL DAYS media coverage and journalism competition.
  • Dissemination of the ideas of lifelong learning and adult education, and introductory meetings with state stakeholders as well as identification and advocacy of local lifelong learning providers.
