Objectives of the project:
Fostering Outreach through Capacity-building for Adult Learning organistions (FOCAL) responds to two key challenges faced by the sector: the need for improved outreach strategies to include learners from disadvantaged backgrounds, and the need for more capacity-building opportunities for adult education staff. Participation in adult learning remains low across the continent and more needs to be done to ensure that all adults can access quality learning opportunities. Through participation in study visits and training programmes, members of the consortium will explore successful practices and gain competences that will allow them to better communicate about successful outreach activities. Members of the consortium will, on the one hand, improve their pedagogical work with their learners and including learner voices in their everyday work, and on the other hand, will improve their strategic thinking about outreach work, including advocacy.
