Who we are?

Amica Educa was founded in 1996 by a group of experts in the field of psycho-social work as a foreign non-governmental organization Amica Schweiz and in 1999 was reregistered as a local organization with a seat in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Established in 1996 to help war traumatized women, Amica Educa has evolved into a center for empowerment, providing psychosocial and pedagogical resources in and around Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina. We provide knowledge and skills to local professionals using innovative teaching approaches as well as advancing mental and social health of families and individuals through counseling, psychotherapy and education. Our programs follow principles of lifelong learning and gender equality.

What we do?

Amica Educa activities are reflected in realization of three programs: Psycho-educative Program, Psychological Counseling and Gender Equality Program

Psychological counseling offers activities aimed at prevention of mental problems, reduction and eliminations of stress, improvement of the quality of free time and quality of life in general. Within the counseling center services offered: individual, partner, family and group counseling and psychotherapy, psycho-educative and creative workshops for marginalized women and pre-school and elementary school children, relaxation and recreational   activities.
