Who we are?
APEFOR is a not-for-profit organisation whose mission is to contribute to improving the quality and sustainability of adult education and training in Portugal, dignifying the sector and private training entities.
What do we do?
APEFOR’s multifaceted activities encompass advocacy, promotion, research, dialogue facilitation, international cooperation, quality defence, entity interest representation, active policy participation, and support strategies for collective efficiency. These efforts collectively contribute to the enhancement and development of the Professional Training and Adult Education sector in Portugal.

EAEA brings together

EAEA is a European NGO whose purpose is to link and represent European organisations directly involved in adult learning. Originally known as the European Bureau of Adult Education, EAEA was founded in 1953 by representatives from a number of European countries.
EAEA promotes adult learning and access to and participation in non-formal adult education for all, particularly for groups currently under-represented.
