The European Education Area (EEA) supports the Member States in working together and fosters collaboration in the area of education and training. While each Member State is responsible for its own educational systems, the European Union promotes cooperation and exchanges of good practices.
By working in synergy with other education and skills initiatives, the European Education Area incorporates ambitious targets, including at least 47% of adults aged 25-64 participating in learning during the last 12 months by 2025.
Education and Training Monitor
The Education and Training Monitor assesses the progress of the European Education Area and the work done towards the defined targets and indicators.
European Semester
The European Semester is an annual framework that coordinates socio-economic policy, including employment and social policies.
EAEA’s work
EAEA’s work on the European Education Area includes the development of policy statements, info notes, responses to official consultations, and engaging the members to actively participate in consultation processes on national implementation.
