5 Day Summer Course. Transformative Learning through the Use of Art: Emphasis on the use of Cinema, Fine Arts & Ancient Drama
EAEA Greek member Hellenic Adult Education Association (HAEΑ) organises a summer course on Transformative Learning through the Use of Art.
TARGET AUDIENCE
The Summer School/Course is addressed to academics, researchers, school teachers, adult educators, trainers and students of humanities and arts. It is also targeted at anyone interested and fascinated by classical and education studies and arts. No prior knowledge of classical literature and the arts is required though.
OBJECTIVES
Participating in this Summer Course, the trainees will be able to upgrade their skills by mastering an innovative method: The use of works of fine arts, cinema and ancient drama.
The participants will be provided with triggers that will enable them to thoroughly understand and enjoy art. Moreover, they will get practiced in a way to critically approach social, moral, and philosophical issues, such as discrimination, domination, race/ethnicity and gender. Finally, those who teach will enrich their educational practice in order to encourage the development of critical and creative thinking of their learners through working with Art.

For the completion of your registration, bank accounts will be sent to you by email after the filling of the form in order to deposit your fees and ensure your participation.
Fees: 550 € (450 € for PhD students)
What is included: coffee breaks in a buffet, tickets for Knossos Archaeological site and the Museum, transfer by shuttle to and from Knossos, guided tours by a specialized guide, who will work in accordance with Perkins methodology, based on the course.
