Galway City Partnership

Who we are

Galway City Partnership is a local and community development company working in Galway City. We have been in existence since 1996, and our aim is to provide meaningful support to people experiencing disadvantage and social exclusion.
Our mission is:

To tackle disadvantage and social exclusion, with a particular emphasis on those currently or at risk of becoming long-term unemployed, and
To enhance our target groups’ capacity to contribute fully to their own lives and to the sustainable development of their communities.

We are committed to maintaining a strong code of governance and to upholding compliance with the Charities Governance Code, CRO requirements, and other relevant regulations and standards set by external stakeholders.

What we do

We support individuals and communities to feel empowered and actively engaged in society. Using a community development approach, we work with both groups and individuals to respond to their needs across community participation, employment, and education. Our team is based on Headford Road in Galway city, with outreach services in Ballinfoyle, Ballybane, Westside, Ballinasloe, and other locations across the county.
