EU and Adult Learning – 30 years of partnership in policy and programmes

The European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA) is delighted to invite you to this high-profile celebration, which will mark three decades of adult learning and education (ALE) in EU policy and 25 years since the launch of the Grundtvig programme. With keynote speeches by the Executive Vice-President of the European Commission, Roxana Minzatu, and the founder of the Erasmus+ programme, Alan Smith, we will initiate a discussion on the inspirations behind today’s Erasmus+ programme and the role of adult learning in it. We will build a bridge between the last 30 years and the future, beyond the current programme.
The event will bring together policy-makers, educators, learners and stakeholders from across Europe to reflect on achievements, showcase innovations and impacts on adult learning, and look to the future of adult learning as a driver of inclusion, democracy and resilience in Europe. High-level European decision-makers and other key stakeholders will join this reflection to present current and upcoming initiatives and discuss the future of adult learning and education.
