Blue Door Education
Who we are
Blue Door Education (VO/2165) is an award winning NGO in Valletta, Malta. Our team of passionate and compassionate volunteers is dedicated to providing free literacy, language and life skill classes, both in person and online, for adult refugees and asylum seekers, and adult migrants with a social worker referral. The hands-on linguistic first aid and practical
skills courses we provide help refugees and asylum seekers rebuild their lives in Malta with dignity, equity and confidence.
What we do
We provide a safe and inclusive learning environment where adults can access free literacy, language and life skills training. A core pillar of our work is ensuring accessibility; we provide “Mums and Bubs” sessions with free childcare to support mothers who are often marginalized or left behind. Our activities focus on bridging the communication gap and
fostering social inclusion through community-building events and personalized educational support. Additionally, we teach offsite in refugee camps and safe-houses and produce digital educational resources for learners worldwide.
