Cie Essevesse

Who we are

Cie Essevesse is a Marseille-based non-profit organisation directed by Dance Artists & Therapists M Fabio DOLCE & M Antonino CERESIA, that uses dance and embodied practices as tools for education, inclusion, and social transformation. Through a sensitive, trauma-informed, and inclusive approach, we create artistic and participatory experiences that support personal development, well-being and collective empowerment.

L’Un contre l’Autre

What we do

We design and lead workshops, performances, European cooperation projects, and training courses that intersect dance, art & dance-therapy, and community engagement. Our activities focus on supporting marginalised groups of all ages, including neurodiverse youth, LGBTQIA+ communities, and people facing health or learning challenges, through embodied learning and expression.

Best practices/projects/publications

  1. HeArts of Youth (best practices) – A project promoting intercultural inclusion of young migrants through arts and creativity.
  2. Improve by Move (best practices) – An innovative and supportive program for youth workers working with people with fewer opportunities, aiming at helping them strengthen their self- acceptance, confidence and wellbeing, through some basic notions of contemporary dance.
  3. Dance Against Bullying in schools (local, regional and national project)– A 2 formats dance program conceived for rising awareness and fighting bullying in schools. This project has been further developed after the EU project DAB – Dance Against Bullying (best practices)
  4. TRANScenDANCE (ongoing project – best practices) – A European project exploring gender identity through dance and performance, supporting trans & non-binary artists and visibility in the cultural sector.
