Helga Moser will deliver a keynote address on the topic of diversity and inclusion in adult education. Project partners will then present the results of the individual work packages. \nIn the afternoon\, partner organizations will discuss the project results with regional stakeholders in their respective languages via virtual webinars. DESCRIPTION:The 17th Pascal Conference will be hosted with the University of Taipei\, Taiwan University of Education and Datong Communitiy College at the Howard Civil Service International House in Taipei. The conference is also supported and sponsored by the Higher Education Reform network (HER) and follows on from its own successful 17th conference in Glasgow in 2023\, Sustainable Development Goals: Their potential and relevance for higher education policy and reform. It is also supported by the Centre for Research and Development in Lifelong Learning (CR&DALL)\, at the University of Glasgow\, host of the European Centre of PASCAL. \nThe conference will be held from July 4th until the 6th 2024 in Taipei. \nThe topic of the conference is New Challenges for Higher Education\, Cities and Regions: Addressing SDGs in Changing Contexts\, key issues will address both the larger international dimension of the mission of universities and colleges with the aim of contributing to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)\, and their role for the development and well-being of cities and local communities. \nWe invite submissions of papers\, panels and posters concerning the following five sub-topics: \n1. Climate change – its impact on growth\, human rights\, inequality and ecology\, and the transformations that come with mitigation and abatement;\n2. DESCRIPTION:The webinar to take place on 13th of March at 13h CET. \nIt will introduce the audience to our review of survey programmes that include data on adult education issues. Join them for the discussion on the differences in measurement and conceptualisation of adult education. They are drawing on insights from codebooks and questionnaires from the Learning & Work Institute’s Adult Participation in Learning survey\, the OECD’s Programme for in International Assessment of Adult Competencies\, the Eurostat Adult Education Survey and the Labour Force Survey. \nThis webinar will present the audience to the ALE policies project\, funded by the ESRC. The overall aim of the project is to investigate the knowledge base on adult education in the UK and Ireland. They will look into how participation has fluctuated over the past 25 years and how policy-makers use adult education data to feed into their policy processes. \nThroughout the presentation\, they will investigate to what extent differences in methodologies and conceptual underpinnings lead to similar or different insights in the determinants of participation. \nThe presentations will be followed by a Q&A session with the project’s team members from the University of Glasgow\, the University of Nottingham and the Learning & Work Institute. \n  \nFollow this link to register and find out more. \n

No prior knowledge of classical literature and the arts is required though. \nOBJECTIVES \nParticipating in this Summer Course\, the trainees will be able to upgrade their skills by mastering an innovative method: The use of works of fine arts\, cinema and ancient drama. \nThe participants will be provided with triggers that will enable them to thoroughly understand and enjoy art. Moreover\, they will get practiced in a way to critically approach social\, moral\, and philosophical issues\, such as discrimination\, domination\, race/ethnicity and gender. Finally\, those who teach will enrich their educational practice in order to encourage the development of critical and creative thinking of their learners through working with Art. \nApplications are now being accepted\, so we would be grateful if you could forward this announcement to anyone you think might be interested. DESCRIPTION:EAEA Polish member the NGO Trainers Association STOP invites you to join a course on Designing a long educational cycle. \nMost of the trainers and facilitators participating in ToTs or trainers’ school learn how to design and prepare a training – a form taking from few hours up to few days. In many cases and educational fields one meeting is not enough\, we need to designs educational process which needs to have a form of a cycle consisting more than one educational method (training\, project group\, one to one consultations\, coaching etc). Trainers and educators participating in the course will have the opportunity to learn what are the specifics of longer educational process comparing to single training. \nThe cost includes attendance of 5 days course\, educational materials and coffee breaks.
